The Music Service delivers high quality music lessons and experiences to children and young people from all backgrounds and areas in Sheffield. We are forming a Music Hub with partner organisations which will help us to increase musical opportunities across the City.
We are presently looking for instrumental and vocal teachers across the full spectrum of western classical, popular, jazz and world music disciplines. Music Tutors are required to provide one to one tuition, small group tuition, whole class tuition and ensembles either based centrally or in our schools. Teachers are employed on an a variable hours contract. In-service training is provided for all staff including mentoring and support where needed.
Applicants will be expected to travel to different areas of the city and will need the use of a car. The Music Service ensures the safety of children at all times and in all circumstances. Knowledge and understanding of Child Safeguarding will be a requirement of the post.

The successful candidate will be required to complete a Disclosure and Barring Service form in line with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 and the Police Act Regulations.
